     For the individuals who possess both technical and business skills, booth renting can be a rewarding career experience or a great intermediate step to a full-scale salon ownership.

 You can share a station.

 

If you want to only work part time and you can’t justify the rent for a whole week, you may share with someone and pay 1/2 the rent. The lease would be in both you and your station mates name. Obviously this means you would have to work opposite hours from each other. If you have a station mate in mind and you would both start the lease at he same time this arrangement may work for you.


What do you get for your rent?

 

1. Maintenance
Well maintained parking lot including snow plowing and cleaning),
Outside building maintains includes flower beds and grass cut.
Inside shop will get cleaned once a week. All equipment will be maintained.


2. Utilities
Gas, electric, phone, heat, air condition, water, hot water, sound system, refuse removal and sewer usage.


3. Secure Building
 You and your things are safe here. The building is well lit, has security cameras inside and out, a monitored alarm system and bars on the windows.


4. Operator’s station:
Styling chair, mirror, floor mat, counter top, 2 locking drawers, locking side cabinet with dryer and curling iron holders and bottom cabinet for storage, one locker with lock, locking cabinet with shelves, roll cart, phone line, and display shelves.


5. Common Area:
Shampoo Area

- 3-Shampoo bowls, towel cabinets, and towels.
Kitchen/ Break room/ Laundry room

- Refrigerator-freezer, microwave, toaster-oven, sink, cabinets, washer, dryer, and table.
Waiting Area
- Waiting chairs, and coffee table for clients.
Processing Area
- Lights, steamers, and dryers.

Color Bar
- Place to mix color, complete with scale and mixing tools.
Waxing station
- Reclining chair, mat, counter top

Because of the liability that is related with waxing, (double dipping) you will need to supply your own wax pot and supplies. There is room in the waxing area to plug in eight wax pots. Your waxing supplies you will keep in your locked supply area.


6. Website
You will have access to the website with your own password and link. This will give you the ability to change your part of the website anytime you want. When a client clicks on your face they will go to your page that you control. Your biography, your services, your prices, your schedule, your business.

 

7. Marketing website
You will have access to Constant Contact. This is a website which gives you the ability to build adds and send them out to your email list. Constance Contact is a great marketing tool.
